There is examination in india for government jobs(like for railways, banks, police )…some examination have written or mcq exam and after that interview….so teacher in that class said In an interview which he has seen interviewer chooses a beautiful person than average or ugly person even if beautiful person answers are not better than them in an interview…according to me he was talking about beauty which is genetics ….isn’t it injustice to give someone preferance over others according to their beauty….except in beauty pageant..my question is what if some giving preference to beauty for choosing employees in his company for jobs which don’t demand beauty like choosing beautiful receptionist…will it count as injustice to give beauty more importance than skills? Please explain

There r sociological studies in all major countries showing some inherent biases in people. These biases are linked to our instincts and sometimes happen unconsciously but mostly people are aware of them.

Bias based on beauty, sex, religion, caste, language r very common. We all share one or the other biases

One can argue that the preference of sex, beauty, language etc isn’t a bias at all. But people feel more comfortable with a more beautiful person, or who speaks the same language etc etc.

it’s injustice by definition but since we all have biases, I am not sure it can be labeled as the injustice disliked in Islam and other major religions. It’s something each of us has to work against and may be use it to be so good in our respective fields that it’ll be v difficult for someone to prefer someone over us

This is no doubt an injust act which results in usurping of other peoples’ rights who were more qualified for the job.
