Are Muslims allowed to use wooden coffins or should it be kept to just the cloth sheet?
What are the reasons for whatever answer?

Enshrouding a deadbody is Sunnah. Although coffins can be used but after enshrouding the body.
But I think the rationale is to handover the deadbody to the land without leaving anything else with it so that the burial place remains usable.
