Is Sketching Haraam?
As salaamu alaikum,
My question is that it is in the hadith “the most severely punished of people on the day of resurrection will be the image-makers, those who tried to imitate the creation of Allah.
Hence, taking from this hadith the conclusion is that its not permissible in islam to draw faces or images etc. Though I don’t understand why is that haraam? And if not haram kindly educate me on the issue.

Sketching is not haraam as long it does not contain anything that is haraam on its own. In fact all arts like sketching, painting, sculpting, photography etc are all permissible. Check the video below
