In Our Society How To Come Out Of Engagement Before Marriage
Salaam,
I have a question if two people are engaged and then decided to quit engagement and don’t want to go for marriage because of understanding issues.
This thing is considered a taboo in our society, especially if rishta is in your closed relatives.
What should we do in this case, how should we proceed to cancel this marriage, or should we accept our parents decision. Please guide us thanks.

A good generic response can’t be provided in this matter because the best way to handle such an issue can vary from situation to situation. With that said, one has to understand that marriage is huge responsibility, and it must take place with the mutual consent of both the boy and the girl. If there boy and/or the girl are not happy with the marriage then they should find the courage to break of the engagement before it’s too late.
