    Making Up A Rakat

    Asalamualaikum,

    Can someone please explain to me how an extra, single rakat would be prayed as explained by Ghamidi Sahab, in the case that one has read one rakat less than they should have? Are all the steps the same as any other prayer, but you read a single rakat? This is in the case that a person has realized after prayer.

    Single rakat will be like the last Rakat.

      JazakAllah Dr. Irfan Shahzad,

      Do I have to perform Takbeeratul Ihram after performing sajda-esahw before performing this rakat, or do I immediately get up after sajda-esahw and begin with Surah Faatiha?

    you mean Sajda Sahw (سھو) it is done in the last rakat after Tashahhud or at the end of the rakat by performing two sajda. we do not get up after this sajda. you may read how to perform it in Meezan.
