    Assalamualaikum

What does Ghamidi sahab says about that when Prophet SAW came with as a Prophet with Islam, at the start everything was halal and then slowly slowly God made them haram. For example when some women moaned at the dead body of Hamza bin Abdul Muttalib RA, so Allama Ghulam Rasool Saeedi Sahab in Sharah Sahih Muslim vol. 1 page 513 first paragraph last line wrote that ‘it is also possible that moaning(noha) was legal(mubah) at that time and after that Prophet SAW abrogated it”. So if they read some Sahabi RA or maybe someone other doing something that they(scholars) think is not ok in Islam, so they say that maybe it was not made haram yet.

    And Allah knows best.

Not everything was Halal. the concept of Halal and Haram was very clear in Arabs too. Allah indicated only those things and evenues which were confusing or man might have an excuse to take them as halal. Due to the deep rooted haram of that kind like drinking and usury gradual process of adopted. it is not that first these things were declared halal, then made haram. in the Shariah of God, such things were always haram. as far as Noha is concerned, Crying has different modes, all modes are Noha, the prophet forbade only that type of Noha, in which one hits one own self and tear one’s own cloths while moaning.
