As my subject says it all. Somtimes we often tell a lie to keep one’s heart. But in that case are we hypocrite? Internally there is something and outside there is another thing.

What islam says should we tell the truth and become realistic or should we do the same thing (telling lies) to keep heart. And sometimes we answer YES in MURAWWAT and then repent on it.

Rather than outright lying, in many situations one can provide a diplomatic answer. In cases where it becomes necessary to lie in order to not hurt someone’s feelings we can hope that God won’t hold us accountable for it. It’s not hypocrisy, but one should be mindful that if the other person finds out later on, they might not be able to trust us again. Personally speaking, in most situations I would much rather opt to break someone’s heart than possibly breaking their trust at a later time.
