Sood On Advance Salary
Assalam o Alaikum. I’m from Pakistan. I have a serious question about Sood(interest). In Islam it is clearly mentioned that who is involved in the procedure of any Sood agreement it is haram. My sister is deputy education officer. Government allows employees to take advance salary and pay Sood on it. Without my sister’s signs , their advance salary case is not accepted by the banks. She refuses to sign that case and doesn’t forward. But she is continuously pressurised by higher authorities and employees to sign those Sood based documents. What should she do.

If she is convinced that the transaction is in fact based on riba and that she is being a party to it then she can start looking for another job.

Do you mean TVM (time value of money) to counter inflation?
