    Kindly guide who Allah is addressing here

    إِنَّمَا نُطۡعِمُكُمۡ لِوَجۡهِ ٱللَّهِ لَا نُرِیدُ مِنكُمۡ جَزَاۤءࣰ وَلَا شُكُورًا﴿ ٩ ﴾

    • Muhammad Junagarhi:

    ہم تو تمہیں صرف اللہ تعالیٰ کی رضامندی کے لیے کھلاتے ہیں نہ تم سے بدلہ چاہتے ہیں نہ شکر گزاری.

    The main address in this chapter as well as this seventh group in the Quran (chapters 67-114) is to the Quresh of Makkah.

    In addition to Haroon Sahab’s reply, in this particular verse, God tells the characteristics of Abraar, the loyal servants of God. It is said on behalf of the loyal servants of God, that they say to the needy ones who they feed:

    “We are feeding you for the sake of God only. No reward do we desire from you nor expect gratitude.”
