Quran 49:14 – Difference Between Muslim & Momin
Salam Umer Bhai,
I hope you are well & doing good today.
I just heard this message where Sanam Churday is saying that ”Allah (SWT) is saying those are Muslims but are not moins” in this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=momneC6C7fg.
I had following questions:
a) What Ayat is this in Surah Baqarah i checked couldn’t find it?
b) What’s exactly is the context if this verse & who are or were direct recipient of this Ayat back then?
I shall be grateful to in this concern.

Perhaps she mentioned the following verse, 49:14:
قَالَتِ الْأَعْرَابُ آمَنَّا ۖ قُل لَّمْ تُؤْمِنُوا وَلَٰكِن قُولُوا أَسْلَمْنَا وَلَمَّا يَدْخُلِ الْإِيمَانُ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ ۖ وَإِن تُطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ لَا يَلِتْكُم مِّنْ أَعْمَالِكُمْ شَيْئًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
These were the Arab beduins who apparently accepted Islam and submitted themselves to the prophet but they had yet not realise the the spirit of Islam.
