  • Is Is A Requirement For Reward To Recognize Each Test Before Showing Patience?

    Asalamualaikum,

We get to know from the Quran that God has created life and death to test us (67:2) and we also get to know some of the different types of tests (2:155) in which we have to show patience.

But there are situations in which one may never come to the realization that they are being tested (such as someone having moderate color blindness or any undiagnosed mental disorders such as ADHD or Autism etc).

Can you still pass these tests without knowing that they are tests or must we recognize each one we go through and then be patient to achieve the reward of it?

Also, incase we cannot recognize each test we go through, is there anything that tells us we get to know about all of them on the Day of Resurrection?

    JazakAllah,

    Salaam

A Muslim needs to know his life is a test.

God is just. Even if a person has no realization that he is passing through a test, his or her suffering will be rewarded.

If person is mentally retarded, this is not his test but of the ones who belong to him. However the retarded person will be rewarded for his sufferings. The story of Moses journey with a servant of God is a good example to understand the scheme of God.and yes we will come to know of the realities of the matters in the hereafter insha Allah.
