    Doesn’t the following referenced verse support the question asked in the title. And also because it is stated in Quran that all living and non-living things in the universe pray to Allah.

    [6:38] All the creatures on earth, and all the birds that fly with wings, are communities like you. We did not leave anything out of this book. To their Lord, all these creatures will be summoned.

    We are not informed about the destiny of the animals in the hereafter. Yet we believe that God is just and merciful and he did not create the world without purpose. He would deal with them with justice and compensate them for their worship to Him and for their sufferings
