Is God The Creator Of Evil?
Salam,
I’ve read all of the threads regarding this issue present on this app. I’ve read Mawlana Islahi’s arguments in his book, “Falsafay ke bunyaadi masail Quran e Hakeem ki roshni mein”.
I’m familiar with Islahi and Ghamidi sahab’s view of how Allah is the creator of good but human beings are the creators of evil. My question is, how do they reconcile this opinion with the following verses?
The Quran says,
“Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is, over all things, Disposer of affairs. (39:62)”
Since Allah has Himself said He is the Creator of all things, that must include evil? Why can we not simply say Allah has created evil to test us?
How do we reconcile verses such as the one quoted above?

What is evil? unless you define, it will be difficult to give response to question properly
If by evil you mean natural disasters then yes he created this world in the way that cause disasters. These calamities and disaster serve the purpose of warning to us.
If you are talking about murder, stealing etc,first of all these are not physical things which can be created. these are action committed by people while practicing free will. God has granted freewill and human practice it either in good or bad way.

Isn’t it all part of the scheme. Allah created Iblis, Allah knew what he is going to do. Allah created human knowing that human will be inclined towards good and evil. Then Allah allowed Iblis, his family and supporters to drive people towards evil ‐ (For me evil is everything what Allah diapproves). So in that sense, Allah did create evil by creating Iblis and allowing him to misguide people and making people capable of being inclined toward evil. Allah says in Quran that he Allowed Iblis to conduct his misguidance to test humans.
In paradise there will be no evil and thus people will not do anything bad.
