    السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ ا

I am on leave from my work for 40 days and I wanted to utilise this time to learn more about Islam.

My interest is in Quran and want to go through the tafseer of it. I have already completed Quran translation multiple times and I have learn enough Quranic vocabulary so while reciting it I can understand 80-90% of aayat fully.

I have also completed Bayan Ul Quran series by Dr Israr available on YouTube 2-3 times.

I tried going through Al Bayan series of Ghamidi saab but its too long for something I am looking for right now. I need something more comprehensive.

Anything I start my goal is not to complete it in 40 days but atleast complete the major chunk of it so I can continue easily during my working days.

Kindly guide me how should I proceed.

Even suggestions other than tafseer is also more than welcome.

Any help and guidance is much appreciated.

I recommend Tahfim Al Quran or/and Tadabbur e Quran but ultimately, reading books of tafsir to understand the Quran won’t be of any great benefit.

You should take time to arrive at YOUR OWN understanding of the Quran, what does it say and mean to you ? There’s little good in storing information. You should keep the slogan of Kierkegaard in mind, Subjectivity is the truth. Tafsir books play a big role in the institutionalization of religion, which destroys the individual’s capacity to experience the truth. Once you associate yourself with the crowd ( a school of thought) , you cannot think anymore.
