Ok, it was a mean to remember Allah in the time of hardship, but why to specify a number, like 33 times SubhanAllah etc?

We do not know in fact, why, but we know God specifies the numbers in rituals, like one Ruku and two sajda in one rakat, one month of Fasting, reciting two or four times certain words in Azan etc. we hope to learn about them in the hereafter from God
