    Assalamualaikum

If a state makes a law against Islam or some Islamic things such as law against hijab. For a Muslim who considers hijab as an order of Islam, should she take hijab breaking the law or obey the law and going against the order of Allah?

    With some evidence please. Thanks

If the religious injunction is a compulsory one, like saying prayer or keeping fast, Muslims are obliged to follow their religion, but still they are allowed to even utter a word of kufr if they are forced to avoid loss of life or other harm. However in such cases, they are obliged to migrate from that land if there is no other option to change the law or find concession in the law.

But if the religious injunction is not a compulsory one, or it has more than one interpretations as is the case of Hijab, they are not obliged to follow it if circumstances are not favourable. However, if they feel it is violation of their freedom and religious freedom, they should take the legal and democratic course to change the law of find concession in it.

He said “when you’re in a non Muslim country and they have certain laws, either you bring your grievances before the people that these laws are not correct otherwise there is no option but to obey those laws or simply migrate from that country. Violating the law is not an option.”

From that it seems that either you struggle to change the law or obey otherwise migrate.
