Expression Of Aesthetic Sense
Assalamualaikum
God is Beautiful amd loves beauty. We observe and feel that humans have an aesthetic sense. To make things beautiful is in our nature. But is this expression is only to the extent of expression to yourself or to others. Because we observe that also that when we are alone we sit without caring anything but when we get to know that we have to go infront of public then we make ourselves good and proper. So is it also a part of expression of aesthetic sense itself or not?
And secondly when we get to know that we may go infront of some people you are attracted to instinctively (mahram or non mahram) so you make yourself up even better (may not put extra zeenah (embellishment) which is ordered by Quran to be hidden for women), so would Islam object on that?

1. Yes it is an expression of aesthetics
2. It depends upon your intention. To look good to the opposite gender is natural, but to lure them to something bad is objectionable.
