For the purpose of clarity, I’d like to request that only Shams al-Ma’arif be adressed for now.

And in some detail. At least a part of the book can be attributed to al-Buni who is a revered Sufi. And the modus operandi of the book is founded on Quranic verses and Allah’s names.

Apparently from quick search, this book is considered a book of magic.
In order to give an opinion it is needed to be properly studied. The area is of no interest . Ghamidi sb expertise is in Quranic studies not occult related book.

The book extends beyond the occult and is a powerful spiritual compendium.

Ghamidi sahib himself has stated multiple times that in the past there were masters of the spiritual sciences. These people knew how to command and manipulate the hidden forces in the universe. And this book claims the very same. By saying the universe, the Quran, Fateha, and Bismillah are all related.

This sort of casual but derogatory replies are unacceptable in this forum. Please be careful with your words next time, as continued violations will lead to suspension of your account. Disagreeing with others in a respectful manner is not a very difficult task.

@aj-khan I’m not advocating for the book nor its contents. I personally don’t really believe in it either. But found it interesting because it was very popular until the decline of Sufism and was looking for an insightful answer from capable al-Mawrid students.

Taimur Chaudry Saheb, your words against Ahsan Jala saheb are inappropriate and a breach of conduct of the forum. If you don’t like the answer, you can ask for further explanation or use other forums, as suggested by Ahsan Jalal saheb, but you are not supposed to show disrespect. I hope you will be careful next time.

I appreciate it if you apologise.

    Regards

Jalal saheb had posted a reply, which he then deleted, undermining my question, which led me to feel the same sentiments from the replies he did not delete.

However, I apologize if Jalal saheb took my comments upon his person.

I had commented on the nature and quality of the replies, not the person. The replies could have come from anyone and my comments would have been the same. I did not mean to target Jalal saheb.
