The main concern of Islam is to inform us about something that we have no other way of finding out: life after death. In that regard it wants to tell us how we can prepare now so that we may continue on with our next life with utmost joy and comfort while avoiding any difficulties.
While Islam does not primarily concern itself with sharing any specific scientific knowledge with us, it sometimes comments on the state of affairs of this universe (scientific facts) as an aside to it’s main focus or as evidences to its arguments.
Islam does not tell us anything about the anatomy of our brains, however it does differentiate our material existence from our real existence (nafs). With that knowledge we infer substance dualism which is a concept entailing human composition consisting of two different substances. Dualism stands in stark contrast to materialism (popular amongst scientists) which is an unsubstantiated idea that everything in this universe is made out of matter.
