Carrying Pocket Quran To Unclean Places
Assalamu Alaikum,
Are there things that we should be aware of when carrying pocket Quran at work, etc. For example, using the restroom, working with sick people, etc? Please advise. Thank you.

Quran is a book of guidance and should be read with understanding. Out of respect for the word of God, it’s advisable that we should not carry it to unclean places like restrooms. There is no harm in carrying the Quran when working with sick people.

Thank you for your response. Also, do we have to perform Wudu before reading the Quran? My plan is to carry a pocket size Quran with me so that I can read it on the go whenever possible.

Quran is available on mobile devices which we carry anyway so it might be more practical to just read it there. In certain apps you can create notes, bookmark verses, increase font size etc. which are added benefits.
