Does Total Flukes And Uneducated Guesses Constitute Lie?
hello there, Assalaam u alaykum.
my question is in exams we are often asked questions, and these are asked to judge our knowledge. so many of the times we have the knowledge and we tick the correct answer, to our best understanding. but many of the times we resort to total flukes and guesses without knowledge. so would it constitute lying?
as it is analogous to someone asking us some scientific knowledge but we speak without any knowledge and say whatever comes to our mind

Examples are not analogous. The lie is told to deceive, while the guess in the paper is not to deceive someone. It is a technical fault of MCQs but not lie.

@Irfan76 sir but we see that sometimes scholars also say that even a lie which is not to deceive someone, it’s still a lie etc and a sin etc

When both parties know that something is not for deception, it is not a lie at all.
