یہی قانون و حکمت وہ دین حق ہے جسے ’’اسلام‘‘ سے تعبیر کیا جاتا ہے۔اِس کے ماخذ کی تفصیل ہم اِس طرح کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے یہ دین آپ کے صحابہ کے اجماع اور قولی و عملی تواتر سے منتقل ہوا اور دو صورتوں میں ہم تک پہنچا ہے :
۱۔ قرآن مجید
۲ ۔سنت
دین لاریب ،اِنھی دو صورتوں میں ہے ۔اِن کے علاوہ کوئی چیز دین ہے ،نہ اُسے دین قرار دیا جاسکتا ہے ۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے قول وفعل اور تقریر وتصویب کے اخبارآحادجنھیں بالعموم ’’حدیث‘‘ کہا جاتا ہے ، اِن کے بارے میں یہ حقیقت ناقابل تردید ہے کہ اِن کی تبلیغ و حفاظت کے لیے آپ نے کبھی کوئی اہتمام نہیں کیا، بلکہ سننے اور دیکھنے والوں کے لیے چھوڑ دیا ہے کہ چاہیں تو اِنھیں آگے پہنچائیں اور چاہیں تو نہ پہنچائیں، اِس لیے دین میں اِن سے کسی عقیدہ و عمل کا اضافہ بھی نہیں ہوتا۔ دین سے متعلق جو چیزیں اِن میں آتی ہیں ،وہ درحقیقت قرآن و سنت میں محصور اِسی دین کی تفہیم و تبیین اور اِس پرعمل کے لیے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے اسوۂ حسنہ کابیان ہیں۔ حدیث کا دائرہ اِس معاملے میں یہی ہے۔ چنانچہ دین کی حیثیت سے اِس دائرے سے باہر کی کوئی چیز نہ حدیث ہو سکتی ہے اور نہ محض حدیث کی بنیاد پر اُسے قبو ل کیا جا سکتا ہے۔
اِس دائرے کے اندر ، البتہ اِس کی حجت ہر اُس شخص پر قائم ہو جاتی ہے جو اِس کی صحت پر مطمئن ہو جانے کے بعد رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے قول و فعل یا تقریر و تصویب کی حیثیت سے اِسے قبول کر لیتا ہے ۔ اِس سے انحراف پھر اُس کے لیے جائز نہیں رہتا ، بلکہ ضروری ہو جاتا ہے کہ آپ کا کوئی حکم یا فیصلہ اگر اِس میں بیان کیا گیا ہے تو اُس کے سامنے سر تسلیم خم کر دے ۔

It is this shariah (law) and this hikmah (wisdom) which is the true religion termed as “Islam”. The source of this religion is the Prophet Muhammad (sws) from whom it has been given to the ummah through the consensus of his Companions (rta) and through their perpetual practice and perpetual recitation in two forms:
1. The Quran
2. The Sunnah
All that is Islam is constituted by these two sources. Nothing besides these two is Islam or can be regarded as its part.
Narratives which record the words, deeds or tacit approvals of the Prophet (sws) generally called Hadith cannot add anything to the beliefs and practices of religion. This is because it is an irrefutable reality about these narratives that the Prophet (sws) never made any arrangement for their dissemination or preservation; it was left to the discretion of the viewers and listeners whether to communicate them or not. Whatever is mentioned in them with regard to religion is only an explanation and elucidation of the religion which is confined in the Quran and Sunnah and also describes the exemplary way in which the Prophet (sws) followed this religion. This only is the sphere of Hadithwhich falls within the ambit of Islam. Outside this sphere, there exists no narrative which can be called or accepted as Hadith.
Within this sphere, however, every personwho after being convinced of a Hadith accepts it as one containing the words, deeds or tacit approvals of the Prophet (sws) must follow it. In no circumstances can he evade or ignore it; in fact, it becomes incumbent upon him to accept any directive or decision of the Prophet (sws) found in that Hadith.

Aik aam aadmi ki zindagi Islam kai mutabiq Quran aur Sunnat pai amal kar kai aram sai guzar sakti hai. Laikin jab koe hadees samnay aa jaye aur us par poori tehqiq hoojaye kai waqae main yai baat Allah kai nabi (swS) nai farmai hai aur woh baat Quran aur Sunnat kai mutabiq hai, toh phir us ko manna zaruri hai.

Aur bhai hmne maan liya tha k hadees pr imaan hona chahiye to hmne allah se maafi mang li to sahi kiya k imaan hona chahiye

ji jo hadees hamari tehqiq kai mutabiq sabit hojaye aur hum us par mutmaen hojaen toh us par eman zaruri hai.
