Some traders use prop firms capital and wait for a certain movement in the market and then invest all the capital on that, it either ends up in HUGE Profits or HUGE loss.

Is such kind of earning permissible?

There is nothing inherently wrong in using a prop firm’s capital or trading forex (currency trading). The principle should always be kept in mind that the prohibition is for unjustly devouring the wealth of others. If that aspect is present in someone’s trading then irrespective of the ownership of the capital or the nature of the product, the trade would be considered haram. A person could be selling Hajj tickets with his own capital but using deceptive advertising, and it would be considered haram. If there is no aspect of immorality present in a trade then it cannot be considered haram. It is for an individual to determine whether or not his trade includes anything immoral.

I guess it causes confusion because it feels like gambling.
