The Event Of The Splitting Of The Moon
Assalam o Alaikum
a. Ghamidi sb and some other distinguished scholars had dismissed the notion of Quran having described the splitting of the Moon being a future event described in past tense, citing inconsistent context with the overall theme basing their argument off the fact that moon splitting on the day of judgement could not be termed illusion or magic as it would be incontrovertible for everybody. So, this means the event had already happened and it’s not a future event described in past tense.
b. However, Moon splitting on the day of Qayamat could never be the case as Quran clearly states this to happen not on the Day but close to it (Qurb e Qayamat).
c. So, let’s assume its a future event, not on the day of Qayamat (and it can’t be) but about 4 to 5 hundred years ahead of Qayamat. Moon splits, people witness it and terms it either an illusion, magic or the result of a scientific experiment.
d. Now, it checks every box and the context completely syncs for it to be a future event described in past tense.
In addition, the event marks a significant milestone to the end of times. Selecting a celestial body like Moon that is simultaneously visible to every human being clearly indicates the event was meant to be overwhelmingly undeniable. Terming it magic etc is a different thing altogether. It’s hard to absorb, a body like Moon split in half and nobody got a whiff of it except a few hundred people that too all clustered in only ene specific area of land. This actually doesn’t fulfill the prophecy of non believers dismissing a clear sign of that magnitude from Allah and thereby strengthening belief of the believers even more while confirming the end is coming.
Regards.
