If the parents are unable to pay their due Zakaat due to financial constraints, can their children pay it on their behalf (children don’t qualify for Zakaat themselves) but can contribute.

If a person is not able to pay his or her due zakat, he or she is not obliged to pay zakat, rather they may need to receive zakat. However, there is no restriction if some other person volunteers to pay the zakat of another person with his consent.
