From some ahadees we find that praying with shoes on is not prohibited. And maybe encouraged to do things opposite to the jews etc
But some people give example of hazrat musa as. That Allah asked him to remove his shoes before coming in front of Allah. So wearing shoes is an act of be adbii

It is an act of manners that should preferably be adopted however, Jews made it compulsory which was opposed by the prophet to teach that it was not fard.

In haram they have allowed wearing shoes while performing tawaf etc. There also one should refrain from doing so in honor of the masjid??
