The Qur’an tells us that bones are made before flesh and then bones are covered with flesh. This is common amongst detractors of Islam, what is the answer to this from ghamidi understanding?

As far as I am aware, Quran doesn’t say this anywhere. Can you specify the verse which you are talking about?

I couldn’t find the said information in the verse. The ayah clearly states the blood clot was transformed into flesh then the bones were created.

The translation of the verse is as follows
“Then We gave this drop of fluid the form of a blood clot and made the blood clot into a lump of flesh and created bones of the lump and covered the bones with flesh. Then We made it into a new creation altogether.[142] So, blessed is God, the best of creators.[143]”

142 Ie., blew the spirit in it after his physical form was complete and in fact fashioned it into a unique creation called a human being.

143 This is a mention of the emotions which should necessarily come to the tongues of all those who reflect on all these stages of the creation of a human being. In the verse, a superlative noun is annexed to a plural entity. Hence it is stripped of its superlative connotation and merely expresses the perfection of the attribute. This is a common usage of a superlative in Arabic. Students of the Qur’ān should not feel any reluctance in this.

It says flesh first then bones and then covered the bones with flesh which happen simultaneously according to science. What does Javed mean by it has lost its superlative connotation?

The verse does not say that these are different stages that come one after another. The alteration of the letter Thumma and Fa indicates that from clay to sperm-drop and from sperm drop to clinging clot are stages but then the rest are not described with Thumma but with Fa which indicates that the rest of the development takes place simultaneously. then the final stage again is described with Thumma when the embryo turns into another creation.

Thumman means then, which indicates stages, Fa does not necessarily indicate stages.

    For example, وَالْعَادِيَاتِ ضَبْحًا ‎﴿١﴾‏ فَالْمُورِيَاتِ قَدْحًا ‎﴿٢﴾‏ فَالْمُغِيرَاتِ صُبْحًا ‎﴿٣﴾‏ فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِ نَقْعًا ‎﴿٤﴾‏ فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِ جَمْعًا ‎
