  Nikkah Validity

  Me and the girl I love performed a verbal nikkah (Ijab o qubool thrice) and also set a meher. Both of us are sane Muslim adults. This was done to avoid performing things that would be otherwise considered illicit and earn ALLAH swts anger. Apart from the acceptance and meher the witnesses were informed through WhatsApp texts about meher and Ijab o qubool. (One of the witnesses also met us later and confirmed from the girl). Sane Muslim adults who agreed that they would be a witness to this nikkah. However, the announcement was not as public and the Wali are yet unware. Will this nikkah be acceptable or will it be null and void. Please Clarify Dear Ghamidi sb.
