Husband Divorcing Wife Once In A Heat Of Moment On A Trivial Matter
A husband who became extremely angry (and stopped thinking straight ) on a very trivial matter ( wife not accompanying him to the grocery shop ) and said “I divorce you once, make note that I’ve divorced you once”… His anger didn’t stop there but he went ahead and said if “I ever ask you (wife) again to join me to the grocery store consider this a divorce too”.
The Husband and wife did become intimate shortly after ( instead of waiting till the 3 periods ).
Following are the questions about the above situation please if you could help answer :
1. Has the Talaaq happened ? ( with one strike , and now the husband and wife have only one more opportunity , if husband repeats this act once again the marriage is broken ? or will it get broken if he ends up repeating this act twice ? )
2. The husband did ask a few times his wife to join her to the grocery store of-course, and the couple is worried if this conditional statement he made out of anger has cause the next divorce to happen as well or not.
3. Does the husband need to pay any kaffara for his above actions ?
4. What is the proper recommended way to consider and give divorce to the wife that a Muslim man must consider ? ( which obviously wasn’t done in this case )
