Quran 20:124- Real Happiness Belong To Believers?
Asalamualaikum,
Imam Amin Ahsan Islahi’s opinion on Quran 20:124 has been posted in one of the threads. The verse reads:
Listen! It is only through God’s remembrance that hearts receive assurance.
Imam clarifies that “We only see the apparent splendour of those whom we regard to be very happy even though they are indifferent to God. If we were able to creep into their hearts, we would be able to see so many threats, doubts and fears concealed in them but they are not apparent to everyone. Only they themselves can see them or those who have the insight of faith in them.”
My question is that does a Muslim with full faith in God not have doubts and fears concealed within themselves too? And many non-Muslims appear to be living fulfilling and happy lives, though they may not have the reassurance and self-actualization as a Muslim. So, is it not a bit of a stretch to say that they “remain dissatisfied, hesistant, fearful, unstable”?
Can someone please clarify these points for me? Most likely I am mistaken.
JazakAllah
