Yes it is allowed to resuscitate a person. In fact in certain situations it is one’s duty to so.

The term DNR (do-not-resuscitate) is used for Patients who are usually in the Terminal Stage of their disease or doctors feel they can only keep the patient comfortable until their death. In such instances, doctors give an option to the patient whether they would like to be resuscitated if they go into Cardiac Arrest. Most patients sign DNR. So I am seeking guidance Islamic ruling for such situations.

If a person is terminally ill and there is no further treatment available then the person can choose to sign a document to not resuscitate them should they go into a cardiac arrest.
