I was thinking about how we can wish someone on their functions based on their beliefs. I mean, if my friend tells me on Eid, “May Allah bless you and bring happiness, etc., into your life,” can I also wish them on their functions by invoking their XYZ god, like saying, for example, “may XYZ bring happiness to your life, etc.?” Because even though I don’t believe in it, they do, and I’m just participating in their happiness, not practicing polytheism.

You can make a generic greeting. For example, you can say may God bless you. If appropriate you can also use their terminology to refer to Allah. For example, you can say may Ishvara bless you. However, it is not correct to greet someone with a greeting invoking a false deity.
