Doing/Not Doing Anything Out Of Love For The Loved Ones Who Passed Away
Hello there!
is it Islamically okay to not do/or do something because a loved one that passed away used to like or dislike. for example a man who used to love his mother a lot, when he was little her mother didn’t used to like red color clothes on her child. So because of his immense love for her. when he is given a red dress or shirt to wear he automatically feels a little repulsion from it like “that this is the color my mother didn’t used to like” even though he clearly believes that his wearing or not wearing red won’t have any effect on mother (I.e he has no corrupted belief in his mind that her mother is still watching etc etc) he clearly believes that his mother is not watching and his wearing/ not wearing would NOT make his mother either happy or sad. but he just doesn’t feel like wearing because his mother used to dislike this on him. with that thought he feels repulsion and doesn’t feel like wearing. is his not wearing the red shirt okay?
