How to do dawah to non Muslims, and do we have to answer their questions or misconceptions about Islam or do they have to find it themselves?

We just need to introduce the Quran to them, and when they come up with a question, we may answer it if we know it well, or refer them to some scholar who knows.

Can we not on our own self clear their misconceptions like someone is an atheist can we not start reasoning of him and clear his questions? And is our ikhlaq a form of dawah?

If you are able to answer his questions, you can. There is no restriction. To offer them to accept Islam or not depends upon the situation. we just need to make things clear to them.
