There are two sources of Deen.

    1. Quran.

    2. Sunnah.

The Holy Quran is protected from any changes by Allah swt Himself as it’s mentioned in it.

    What about the Sunnah?

The promise of God is for the protection of Revelation only (15:9). No such promise extends to any other source of religion including Sunnah. Therefore, all other sources are subject to critical scrutiny and investigation for their accuracy, and must be compliant with Quran and its clear verses, because Quran is Criterion for judging every other content. If anything is found non-compliant with Quran, it cannot be accepted as a legitimate source of religion.

Does every Sunnat (the list that Ghamidi Saheb has provided us) has its mention in The Holy Quran?

Not necessarily. E.g. Circumcision is considered a Sunnah, although it is not mentioned in Quran. It is considered a recommended practice for a better hygiene, although not directly a part of religion as it is not a divine commandment.

Sometimes contours of a ritual are given in Quran, and in addition to that an established practice received through perpetual transmission makes it easier to perform it. For instance, in Salat, the order of Qiyam, Ruku, and Sujud is taken from Sunnah which helps to standardize it, otherwise everyone would be performing salat differently and there would be no uniformity. In the case of fasting, almost all the details are given in Quran, so no other substantial information is required from Sunnah.
