Can Expenditures On Siblings Be Considered As Zakat Payment?
I spend more than 10% of my salary monthly on my siblings’ education, food and utility bills etc. If the amount above 10% equals to 2.5% of my yearly savings, then will I still be obliged to pay zakat on wealth or can I include all this expenditure on as zakat? Does this expenditure on my siblings and home count as zakat? I am single and live with parents and siblings. My source of income is my government job.
