    It is not sunnah in technical sense of the word but the prophet for some reasons had to do multiple marriages.

    Sunnah is what is essentially an act of Deen or adopted to fulfil a purpose of Deen like shortening moustache is sunnah because it helps maintaining purification while eating and drinking.

    It depends on how you define sunnah.

    According to Ghamidi sb, sunnah is the act which fulfil the objectives of deen.

    So Polygamy is not sunnah according to farahi school.
