This is what you have to decide. Woman is not a slave to men. Not every directive is compulsory to obey. One may have one own opinion And the other needs to consider it if it is reasonable.
Hierarchy of obedience to someone is made to run the affairs smooth. If you find a way to follow your choice along with what is told to you without any conflict you can choose your way.
A good house is the one where instead of command and obedience things are done with mutual consultation.
