Machine slaughter is halal, if Allah’s name has been mentioned. When we question “conditions of halal”, we need to determine what the actual conditions are according to Quran. Please note that when it comes to dietary prohibitions, it is only Allah’s authority to declare something unlawful, and this authority has not been delegated to any human being (6:150). In the case of slaughter, the principal condition is that, God’s name should be mentioned.
When God’s name has been mentioned, it becomes immaterial whether slaughter is done with hand or with machine. The animal is halal in both cases. Please refer to verse 6:118 and 6:119, which makes the matter clear:
[6:118] So eat from that on which God’s name has been mentioned, if you indeed acknowledge His signs.
[6:119] Why should you not eat that on which God’s name has been mentioned, when He has sufficiently detailed to you what has been made forbidden; except what you are forced to? Many misguide by their desires without knowledge; your Lord is fully aware of the transgressors.
