    Is using cracked software permissible (halal) if the original software is very expensive and seems widely used in this way? Many people can’t afford the full price, and the companies seem to allow it to happen. What is the Islamic perspective on this situation?

    It is unethical. However, the companies seem to have compromised with the situation.

      So is it tolerable for a Muslim to take advantage of the compromise or fear Allah and avoid?

    It is unethical and one should not do something unethical. However, if one is compelled to do a thing like that, he or she should declare it, inform the owner and ready an apology to present to God.
