Women In Leadership Responsibilities
Salam,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5G87Ht4MTIThe above is a link to a video of discussion where Hassan Illyas brother is explaining the concept of women as leaders of the STATE.
We know that in Surah Nisa Ayat 34 Allah made Men QAWWAM over Women, but we can argue that this ayat was revealed under the domain of a domestic household. In the video, Hassan bhai says that according to a mutual concenses people can even appoint a third gender if they deem fit? How does that make sense when all the historical record of Muslims is supporting that MEN were leaders? Were their no women present to actually lead the people?
Allah sent 124K prophets and according to my knowledge all of them were men? If a prophet is claimed to be the leader of the people he is sent towards, would it make sense that Allah might have sent a women as a prophet and leader too?
We see that Men are made to lead in prayers and they stand ahead of women in congregation. Doesn’t that tell us the leadership aspect of things that men are made leaders in general regardless of domestic household or the affairs of the state?
Explain how that a Women who is actually a leader of the state would ever allow or would ever agree to surrender her leadership to man when it comes to domestic household? She would always be in state of conflict.
We have seen that Women during the times of prophet played a very important role in the society, they were even given roles of notable influence, but they were all placed under the leadership of men. Madina had market price controller and she was a women. But she answered to a man above her. Hazrat Umar.
Please explain all of these questions or clearify the statements that I made.
