    Do I Have To Pay Zakat On A Donation / CharityI Received. If Yes , How Much?

    Salam o alaikum,

    Do I have to pay zakat on a donation / charity received. If yes , how much?

    My colleague collected some money when I got ill and became unable to earn and afford daily expenses, they gave me the collection. I am better now and discharged from hospital but still not able to earn my bread.

    If the money whatever you have is more than your needs, current as well as future needs which are inevitable, then You can pay zakat on your savings.
