    Asalamualaikum,

I was watching the first part of Ghamidi Sahab’s discussion on whether God can be proven intellectually (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncS8yVfvBSg&t=881s). I understand that people will be judged according to the degree to which the truth of Islam reached them.

However, is there any advantage in the hereafter of being Muslim over not being a Muslim in the case that both individuals are pious? How does it benefit a person to embrace or be born into Islam if a non-Muslim will be rewarded in the same way? In what sense does Islam become a blessing?

Furthermore, I’m still a bit confused as to how human rationality says that there must be a God. If someone can please explain the points discussed in the video.

    JazakAllah

It makes no difference if You are born a Muslim or not, faith is a conscious decision every one is supposed to make it.

Existence of a creator is a demand of intellect as we know we are made, now when we search who created us we find only two solutions that a knowledgeble being might have created us or this world has created us.lon its own The second doesn’t satisfy intellect as the design needs knowledge and conscious decisions which is not a characteristic of matter.

Then comes religion and tells that God created us. Then we have to verify the message we receive whether it truly came from God or not. This makes us a conscious believer.

      JazakAllah Dr. Irfan Shahzad,

But what is the benefit of being a practicing Muslim when a pious non-Muslim will be equally rewarded? How would it have been a blessing for the non-Muslim to have become Muslim in this world?

Every one has test of his or her moral self. It is the same for everyone. An honest lover of truth is always a potential Muslim who obeys the truth. If Islam reaches his he obeys if not he doesn’t obey falsehood. After becoming a Muslim you find a straight way to purification and your test is now of knowledge too which Youn have of Islam that how you respond to it. In this sense your test is more difficult.

It is like one having wealth and the one who doesn’t have. The test of the one who has it is of another kind, that is his gratitude, and the one who doesn’t have it has a different kind of test, that is his patience.

      Okay, that makes things clear.

But since the test of knowledge adds difficulty, will this also become a way for greater reward for followers of Islam compared to people who are non-Muslim, since they do not have this test?

The quality of performance makes the difference. All kinds of tests have a their own level of difficulty.
