Such narrations are quotes in history, not reliable because the narrators add things later to support their political views. Politics is a blame game. Therefore reference to ahadith in the heat of political disputes are not taken serious. As we see that the politicians quite Qur’anic verses in their favour. But scholars do not take the serious.
