Evaluating The Validity Of Sunni & Shia Hadith Collections
As critical thinkers, how can we justify that Sunni Hadith collections like Bukhari and Muslim are considered authentic while Shia collections such as Usool al-Kafi are not? Why do we refer to Bukhari and Muslim etc instead of Usool al-Kafi etc? How should we analyze this issue? Is it solely due to the fact that we were born into Sunni families?

Everyone should make informed and honest decisions. Embracing a particular faith or school of thought should be a deliberate and conscious choice.
There are significant differences between the Shia and Sunnis, leading them not to follow each other’s religious texts:
Shias do not place trust in most of the Sahaba, believing they betrayed the Prophet, while Sunnis regard the Sahaba as central to their understanding of Islam.
Shias view their Imams as infallible and religious authority, whereas Sunnis respect their Imams as great scholars but believe their jurisprudence does not reach the level of that established by scholars like Abu Hanifa or Shafi’i.
Shias tend to rely more on Iraqi narrators, while Sunnis consider Iraqi narrators to be biased.
