Musnad Ahmad 3/360: Sad Bin Muadh (rta) & Squeezing Of The Grave
In the Hadith (Musnad Ahmad 3/360) it is mentioned that the grave had narrowed in on Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Mu’adh (radiyallahu ‘anh), a pious slave of Allah Ta’ala and then Allah Ta’ala widened it. My questions are:
1) Is this Hadith authentic?
2) If a believer/non-believer die by drowning or burning, how will this squeeze take place?
3) Scholars interpret that this squeezing will be for a short duration for the believers and permanently for the disbelievers till the Day of The Judgement. My question is then what is the purpose of handing over the scrolls on the left or right hand of a person on the Day of The Judgement, if it becomes clear in the grave, the distinction between a believer and a non-believer? Will the scrolls be given only to the believers?
