Why would a Muslim ask Allah for help in difficult situation when it doesn’t seem like Muslims receive more help from Allah than nonbelievers receiving help from their god.

If you take hundred idol worshippers in the same difficult situation as a hundred Muslims and if both groups ask their gods for help, the outcome for both groups will be the same.

Thus, it seems like Allah doesn’t help Muslims any more than any other god helping its people.

The reason may be that Allah doesn’t want to make the test of this life any different for Muslims than people of other faiths. Perhaps we are required to ask Allah for help to prove our faith in this life and earn rewards in after life.

Based on your knowledge what does Allah says on this topic?

In worldly affairs, human efforts and the laws of cause and effect primarily shape outcomes. However, God may intervene when deemed necessary. In this realm, prayers are answered in accordance with God’s divine plan. If a prayer remains unanswered, it will be rewarded with an even greater blessing in the afterlife. On the other hand, in matters of spiritual guidance and moral development, God’s assistance is granted when individuals demonstrate their commitment and prove themselves worthy of His support.”
