Forgiving Others, Just The Punishment Vs By Heart
If someone wrongs me to a great extent and I can’t forgive them by heart (as in becoming kind and good towards them and forgetting what they did) but I can only forgive the punishment that I am given a right to take as a retaliation. Is this enough to earn the reward that is implied in the verse where God tells us that it is better to forgive the wrongdoers? Or do I have to forgive them by heart because I don’t know how I would do that
