Identification With Ideology
Is it better to say “Islam is my religion” or “Islam is a religion I follow”? Should we attach ourselves to an ideology? If we do, it might be harder to change, and we might struggle to separate our ego if we need to change our beliefs. Because saying “I am Indian” is just my geographical identity, and “I am Muslim” is my religious identity—nothing more. They don’t define who I am as a person. So, my question is: as humans, we have many sides to us. Should we make our ideology our main identity?
