  • Share Of Nieces And Nephews If The Siblings Are Not Alive

According to Islamic law of inheritance is their a share for nieces and nephews if the siblings are not alive especially in this particular case described as under?
A man named Khalid Mahmood has passed away. He has a widow and a daughter. His parents are not alive. His one brother and a sister are alive at the time of his death whereas his other brother and a sister are not alive. He has one niece and one nephew from his deceased brother and one niece and two nephews from his deceased sister.
My question is how should his inheritance be distributed? Whether his nieces and nephews from siblings who are not alive have any share in his inheritance and how their share will be determined?Jazak Allahu Khayran Kaseer

Siblings of the deceased and Niece and nephew have no share when there is a daughter of the deceased, except that the deceased made will in their favour.

Assalam u aliakum Thank you for taking the time to reply to my query.Actually, I have been told that the daughter’s share is half and the wife ‘s share is one eighth. The rest will be distributed among the siblings who are alive at the time of death of the deceased. They get a share in the inheritance but neither the siblings who passed away in the lifetime of the deceased nor the children of these late siblings get any share. Is this true?Jazak Allahu Khayran Kaseer
